The Director of Safety is delegated the responsibility for managing Safety Compliance Airworthiness and Security by the Part 119 post holders at XOJET and its subsidiaries. In this capacity the Director of Safety reports directly to the President CEO of XOJET. While the post holders remain accountable for Safety Compliance Airworthiness and Security the Director of Safety ensures a collaborative working environment where appropriate checks and balances are maintained process improvements are identified and industry Best Practices are developed. A Safety Management System touches all aspects of an organization. When implemented properly safety becomes part of the company DNA. The Director of Safety will ensure a culture of safety is ingrained in all operational procedures and functions. With his leadership and collaboration across all functional groups safety and compliance will be fully integrated and seamless throughout our normal course of business. The Director of Safety will lead internal and external communications regarding safety security and compliance. He will be the primary point of contact with the FAA TSA Audit agencies industry peers trade groups and other professional and government entities. Internal communications will address all aspects of safety and compliance from general awareness to specific challenges or quality escapes. Continuous improvement of the organization will require the Director of Safety to challenge the status quo continuously search out and implement best practices and to look outside of the aviation industry as a means to prevent myopia. The Director of Safety will demonstrate a personal conviction to identifying and maintaining the agreed Company’s safety standards. The candidate will be capable of articulating that conviction. The Director of Safety will ensure any training developed to enhance safety is effective and will produce metrics to ensure the desired results are achieved.
