ApplyAs Director Sales and Business Development you will be selling an enterprise suite of mobile applications – with a focus on Aviation Customers particularly in International markets. Your focus will be to target senior leadership Presidents VPs CFOs and CIOs and build relationships necessary to understand their business its objectives and its challenges. You will become if you aren’t already an industry expert as it relates to our customers’ businesses. This understanding will be critical to generating new business that drives value for both parties. While our products create value for our customers we are not yet a household brand name outside the United States. So education and demand creation are as much a part of the role as selling. Other elements of the job include •Networking extensively to maintain and pursue business relationships •Creating and implementing sales strategies are consistent with overall objectives for the organization •Prioritizing product opportunities to maximize sales and profits •Handling special projects as assigned •Over 50% travel will be typical including International travel as needed •Closing About You You are smart creative and persistent. You can build a compelling repeatable sales model because you’ve done it before successfully. You may have spent some time at an enterprise sales academy like Oracle or SAP but you have also spent time at a smaller fast-growth company. There you built successful sales processes where none existed before. You hired and trained incredibly talented sales people and know what it takes to build a world-class sales organization. You listen to customers and understand their needs before trying to sell them anything. You understand SaaS as well as selling to C-level customers – from lead to close. •Minimum of 8 years sales experience in sales •MUST have sales experience in Aviation particularly outside the U.S. •Sales experience in the Energy sector specifically Oil and Gas is a plus but not required •A track record of successfully building and leading world-class enterprise sales teams •Experience in a high-growth company where you didn’t have everything served to you on a silver platter •Strong contract negotiation experience required •Experience with Enterprise SaaS required •Thorough understanding of customer needs and help provide solutions •Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word and PowerPoint •Impeccable communication skills – presentation and interpersonal Your personal values are as important as your technical abilities.
