ApplyJOB DESCRIPTION Inside Sales Representative Granite City IL Department Sales Reports To Sales Manager FLSA Status Full-time; Non-Exempt Hourly Function The Inside Sales Representative describes demonstrates products and determines needs of new and current customers through telephone or personal contact. Job typically requires high level of organizational skills. Inside Sales Representatives may also promote products at trade shows and conferences. Usually requires two to five years of inside sales experience. Aviation and mechanical background desirable. Inside Sales Representatives are an important part of AERO’s success. Regardless of the product sold the primary duties are to interest buyers and purchasing agents in our merchandise and to address the customer’s questions and concerns. Essential Functions and Accountabilities Answer incoming sales calls Assist walk-in customers. Enter customer orders for processing. Support Sales Manager. Work with customers to develop incremental sales opportunities through the introductions of AERO’s entire product line. Follow leads prospects from other clients and Outside Sales Representatives. Daily ‘cold calling’ into targeted accounts. Qualify leads prospects via telephone and e-mail. Obtain new accounts. Provide excellent customer support in the most efficient manner. Self-maintain technical and sales proficiency in all product categories ensuring that current and potential customers receive prompt and accurate service. Respond promptly to all requests from customers for information. Study literature about new and existing products and monitor the sales prices and products of their competitors. Exceed goals of sales forecast. In conjunction with Sales Manager coordinate follow-up sales calls. Because of the fluctuating demands of AERO’s operation it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore as an essential part of your position you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed. Compliance with company policies and procedures. Reporting Relationships Reports Directly To Sales Manager Also Works For Chief Executive Officer Directly Supervises not applicable Indirectly Supervises not applicable Specialized Knowledge and Skills Important attributes of an Inside Sales Representative includes but are not limited to a pleasing personality an abundance of energy goal oriented persuasive a sense of responsibility self?reliance team player and -- of paramount importance -- sales ability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines and exceed sales goals. A technical background to deal with aircraft mechanics in selling products. Organized in daily operations and must maintain the ability to budget time through normal activities. Equipment and Applications Personal computer and various software applications. Work Environment and Physical Demands General office environment – Considerable stress may occur at times. Occasional travel may be required. Work is generally sedentary with no specific need for physical coordination or effort. Requires physical effort associated with using a computer to enter orders and to access information. Occasional standing walking or lifting needed to carry out everyday activities.
