NexAir Avionics is a custom avionics and maintenance facility on the Plymouth Airport in Plymouth MA. We have just expanded and need qualified Avionics Technicians. The role is full-time and open immediately. NexAir Avionics is a smaller business but growing rapidly. Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities include troubleshooting repair testing installation and inspection of aircraft electronic equipment and systems removal and reassembly of aircraft interior and instrument panels fabrication and testing of avionics systems wiring harnesses Pitot-Static RVSM systems testing and repair and maintaining repair station records and documents as required. -Perform avionics installations and upgrades for a variety of aircraft to OEM and aircraft manufacturer specifications -Perform component levels repairs and re-certifications -Ensure the proper preservation and protection of all avionics articles during maintenance and storage; including incoming inspection and life limited parts as outlined in Repair Station Manual -Ensure that all forms initiated are completed in accordance with instructions located in Appendix A of the Repair Station Manual -Ensure all avionics shop equipment and tools are maintained and in good working order -Maintain work station in compliance with safety fire regulatory and security requirements Qualifications The ideal candidate for the Avionics Technician position must possess the following Education and or Experience - A&P Licenses and pilot licenses are highly desirable -High school diploma or GED equivalent -College degree or equivalent in aviation electronics or related subjects is required -Previous experience with the following manufacturers preferred Garmin Avidyne PS Engineering JPI Instruments S-Tec and Bendix King -Ability to read and interpret blueprints engineering drawings and schematics -Excellent oral written communication skills and above average computer skills and proficiency -Ability to wear all required safety equipment; to walk sit climb crawl twist bend gain entry to work in confined areas; and to work from stands and ladders -Must be able to lift at least 70 lbs and be able to perform moderately strenuous physical tasks which include bending stooping kneeling and working overhead for long periods of time Personal Characteristics -Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision -Ability to work with a team and take positive feedback -Ask for help and offer help when needed to ensure team success -Excellent communications skills written and verbal -Strong attention to detail and accuracy This is a growing company!
