ApplyCHIEF INSPECTOR – ALASKA CENTRAL EXPRESS Posting Opens – April 18 2016 Closes – COB April 29 2016 Schedule – Monday through Friday; 0800 to 1700 Status – FLSA Exempt Salary Range - $40 000 - $75 000 depending on experience Who May Apply – all qualified personnel All resumes must be submitted to Curtis Millard Director Quality Assurance Duties The Chief Inspector is directly responsible to the Director of Quality Assurance and will supervise the RII Inspector work force. The Chief Inspector shall have sufficient authority commensurate with his duties to accomplish his responsibilities. It is the Company’s policy that he she must possess a valid FAA Airman’s Certificate with both airframe and power plant ratings. The Chief Inspector shall be responsible for the following items Supervise and provide direction to the RII Inspector work force. In conjunction with the Director of Quality Assurance and the Director of Maintenance be responsible for the training of the Inspector work force and for ensuring that they stay current with industry practices Company manuals and procedures. Collate required information and properly file all required FAA reports including Form 337. Assure that ACE Aircraft Flight Maintenance log entries tracked component changes and tracked inspections are promptly and accurately entered into the ACE computerized maintenance tracking program. Review for completeness and accuracy all computerized maintenance tracking program entries performed by others. Immediately notify the Director of Quality Assurance and the Director of Maintenance and the Maintenance Manager of any controlled components on any aircraft that are about to or that may have exceeded their allowed limits. Promptly notify the Director of Quality Assurance and the Director of Maintenance of any negative trends relating to any Particular component part number. Specific component serial number. Vendor specific issue. Immediately notify the Director of Operations of any pilot time limits exceeded as identified by the flight log computer program. Provide the Director of Quality Assurance and the Director of Maintenance or his designee with information on removed rotables for prompt processing of Repair Orders for those components. Schedule and chair monthly CAS meeting as determined by the Director of Quality Assurance. Responsible for vendor audits and contract maintenance facility inspections. Responsible for the upkeep of the Master Library of Technical Information and will ensure that sufficient current and complete maintenance manuals and technical information are available for the inspector and mechanic work force. Ensure Company compliance with the FAR’s Company manuals and procedures. Responsible for tool calibration tracking and for verifying removal from service out of date calibrated tools. He She will coordinate and work directly with the Inventory Control Specialist to assure accomplishment of this assignment. Verify Company compliance with Company Fuel Servicing Equipment required inspections. Ensure that a safe working environment exists. Perform other duties as required or assigned by the Director of Quality Assurance.
