The Reliability & Improvement Supervisor is responsible for all operational tasks during his shift. He must be proactive in the risk assessment of probable operational disturbances and help with contingency planning. He will be tasked with supervising and developing the skills and proficiency of all Technicians. He must further make sure that all safety rules and regulations are strictly followed. Finally he will be responsible for generating Improvement Ideas Opportunities with his staff by stressing the importance of waste identification elimination and potential areas of improvement. • Supervises the work of all Technicians. • Ensures that all H&S rules are observed and followed. • Assists with generating and maintaining the Technicians schedule and ensuring that the staffing level is as defined by management. • Transmits any and all information procedures that come from upper management to ensure proper execution. • Assists in optimizing staffing to meet the work load. • Informs the R&I Manager of any useful information to assist in making decisions. • Produces various reports at the end of each shift. • Ensures that all Technicians have received proper training. • Follows up on training previously provided and evaluates the need for further training. • Generate improvement opportunities and waste reduction plans. • Support and promote Engie’s Reliability and Improvement philosophy. • Completes all other tasks required by the immediate supervisor. Requirements • High School Diploma; • Knowledge of managing a maintenance program using CMMS. Maximo knowledge is a plus • Ability to react quickly in response to situations and events; • Knowledge of the supervisory control and data acquisition system. SCADA ; • Knowledge of programmable controllers. Siemens and Allen Bradley ; • Able to obtain a security clearance at the required level; • Able to pass a medical examination; • Willingness to work rotating schedules; • Good communicator; • Excellent interpersonal skills; • Availability; • Capable of managing work; • Knowledge in electricity an asset ; • Technical Trade as Journeyman Electrician Card from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Electrician Examiners is a plus.
