ApplyAmeriflight the nation&39;s largest Part 135 airline is seeking a A & P Technician A & P Mechanic  to provide unparalleled service and value for our customers with the highest dedication to safety innovation and teamwork while reflecting a passion for excellence.  DUTIES include but are not limited to      Perform all manner of maintenance on Ameriflight aircraft PA-31 B-99 BE-1900 SA227 & EMB120.   Maintain and service Airframe systems engine replacement engine rigging PT-6 propeller starter generator replacement etc.   Maintain and service Powerplant systems landing gear system MLG strut repack landing gear strut hydraulics  O2 electrical pneumatic boot flight control cable etc.   Sign-off on the maintenance actions that are taken using your mechanic’s certificate   Perform minor maintenance on ground support equipment as needed   Tow aircraft   Maintain a clean work area   Other duties as assigned     EXPERIENCE   1 – 5 years experience with our fleet types   Experience within a fast-paced maintenance operation   Experience with troubleshooting airframe and powerplant    GENERAL REQUIREMENTS   Must hold a valid FAA mechanic’s certification with Airframe & Powerplant ratings   Must be at least 18 years of age   Ability to prove right to work in US   Ability to read write speak and understand others and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating manuals    Ability to communicate and speak effectively with other employees   Basic math skills   Ability to work various shifts   Positive disposition professional attitude professional appearance   Ability to gain airport access badge   Successful completion of pre-employment required DOT drug screening and other required background checks     PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS   Must be able to travel   Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel objects required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl   Must frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 75 pounds    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision to read labels distance vision to see what aircraft is arriving color vision to see color coded labels peripheral vision to watch for activity going on around them depth perception when marshalling and towing aircraft and the ability to adjust focus when writing   Ability to perform repetitive tasks          Ameriflight requires a pre-employment drug screen for all safety sensitive positions      WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS   Willing and able to travel to recover aircraft work with other bases and or meet training needs of the company   Ability to work outdoors in weather as necessary   Ability to work near moving mechanical parts and aircraft   Ability to work in a potentially noisy work environment     Please reference Avjobs when applying for this position.
