Cirrus Aviation Services an FAR part 135 air carrier has an immediate opening for a full time aircraft scheduler in Las Vegas Nevada. The position relies heavily on both sales and flight operations. Preferred applicants will have both sales and previous aircraft scheduler experience. A 121 dispatch license is also preferred. Under FAR part 135 aircraft schedulers do not actually "dispatch" flights but perform many of the same functions as a 121 dispatcher. Knowledge of and the ability to understand aircraft performance read weather and NOTAMS is essential to the position. Schedulers will Report directly to the Manager of Charter Sales and Flight Operations. Interact with the Director of Operations Chief Pilot and Director of Maintenance regarding crew and aircraft status. Have a professional demeanor a positive attitude and excellent communication skills to deal with demanding and very high profile clientele. Have the ability to multi task at a high level. Have a high degree of computer literacy particularly with Apple equipment. Be willing to work all shifts holidays weekends and be on call when needed. Take client requests for flight quotes. Generate quotes for clients based on all applicable criteria and aircraft capabilities. Receive and process trip contracts prior to flight. Schedule flight crew members in accordance with all applicable FAA regulations and company policy. Arrange contract fueling. Conduct Flight Following with pilots and clients. Set up International handling and Customs arrangements. Arrange catering and ground transportation as requested by the client. Arrange hotel and airline reservations for flight crews as needed.
