ApplyA&P Mechanical Technician About Us Ideal Aviation is a full service fixed base operator FBO that has been serving pilots and passengers at St. Louis Downtown Airport KCPS since 1983.  The FBO occupies 4 hangars totaling over 77 000 square feet.  Ideal provides fuel maintenance flight training aircraft rental and storage to resident and transient pilots. Essential Duties Will work as part of a team performing general maintenance on GA aircraft to include annuals and repairs Use hand tools and small power tools to conduct general maintenance of Turbine and Piston aircraft Troubleshoot complicated mechanical hydraulic and electrical problems Perform all mechanical hydraulic and electrical component maintenance repair or replacement of parts to as directed Work effectively as part of a team of technicians Comply with all policies and procedures to ensure a safe and productive work site Perform routine maintenance and airworthiness releases returning aircraft to service Responsible for servicing inspecting and maintaining aircraft aircraft engines and associated components; effectively performs work to meet deadlines and performance goals Troubleshoot systems; disassembles repairs and reassemble Maintain work area tools and vehicles in clean and safe working conditions Complete work with little assistance Possess honesty integrity and a commitment to maintaining safe compliant aircraft. Minimum Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities 5 Years Turbine maintenance experience Positive attitude towards productivity safety and quality maintenance Good communication skills verbal and written Must have own set of tools Must already be authorized to work in the United States and show evidence. Must have PT6 experience to include Hot Sections Possess honesty integrity and a commitment to maintaining safe compliant aircraft. Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities Perform routine maintenance and airworthiness releases returning aircraft to service Responsible for servicing inspecting and maintaining aircraft aircraft engines and associated components; effectively performs work to meet deadlines and performance goals Troubleshoot systems; disassembles repairs and reassembles sections and components to maintain full functioning equipment per technical data Current IA Avionics and electrical trouble shooting experience a plus 5 years of experience maintaining King Air series aircraft. Physical Eligibility Requirements The work environment is primarily indoors with some line maintenance Must be able to lift 50 lbs; Fit in tight places; Able to bend and lift objects above their head.  Must have physical dexterity sufficient to perform repetitive tasks and motions including bending at the waist and knees squatting kneeling crawling twisting and sustaining those positions for extended amounts of time.  Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.  Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment PPE High Visibility clothing Ear protection safety glasses when required. Ability to read write speak and understand the English language. Available to work any shift. Must be able to use computer. Education and or Experience High school diploma GED.
