AIRFRAME & POWERPLANT MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTOR

Since the purchase of our first aviation school in 1994, Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) has grown into the nation's largest group of aviation maintenance technician career schools, that are approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). We currently have eleven campuses in nine states from coast to coast which include California, Nevada, Texas, Missouri, Indiana, Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania and finally Virginia where our corporate offices are also located.
At AIM we are always looking for qualified and experienced individuals to pass along their skills at our campuses to the aviation maintenance industry's future workforce. We currently have openings for Aviation Maintenance Instructors at our Indianapolis, Indiana campus to help teach a growing student body. This position is an excellent opportunity for A&P Mechanics looking to take the next step on their education career path. We need individuals who are passionate about aviation and want to share their expertise in Aviation Maintenance Technology with others teaching at an FAA (Part 147) A&P school. Classes are held Monday-Thursday in classroom, lab and hangar settings.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Must have Federal Aviation Administration Airframe & Powerplant License
Prefer 3+ years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance (special considerations will be given for more diverse experience)
Prefer outgoing personality and ability to instruct students in this field of study
Special consideration will be given for prior teaching experience, however we offer a teacher training course to help you perfect your style and learn how to translate your skills in the classroom.
