Primary Function: This Regional HR leadership position operatesin a matrix organization supporting sales operations and engineering fieldservices client groups. Being an integral member of the respective leadershipteams the incumbent will identify develop and deploy business-driven HRstrategies designed to attract develop motivate and retain key people whilecreating a high-performance sustainable organization capable of achieving thebusiness objectives.
Essential Functions: + Workwith division leadership functional leaders and peers to align human resourcesprograms and initiatives with key business objectives. Drive plans that supportoperations and division business financial and employee engagement objectives. + DriveHR functional excellence through Eaton programs ensuring quality of processand content as well as alignment with the Eaton Business System to achievegoals and objectives. Develop optimize document and standardizesustainable processes sharing best practices across the division. + Provideleadership coaching to functional groups and leadership teams; act as a rolemodel and sponsor for Eaton Values and Philosophy. + Buildorganizational capability to meet the current and future needs of the business;utilize processes to assess and address functional talent development needsincluding succession planning talent acquisition organization designdiversity and retention. + Supportpositive employee relations activities by working with management and employeesto resolve issues in a collaborative manner. Maintain strong labourrelations and serve as HR lead for a unionized site as well as help lead thecollective bargaining process. + Workwith EHS peers to foster a culture where ownership of health and safety isembraced by all employees while driving towards a “zero incidents” culture. + Facilitateand champion initiatives and projects including; employee survey diversity andinclusion. + Administercompensation programs to assure competitive pay practices through systems andtools that align to organizational goals and reward superior employeeperformance. + Assurethat the business has in place processes that comply with country andprovincial legislative requirements. + Bachelor’sDegree from an accredited institution required. + Minimum7 years of Human Resource Generalist experience + Mustbe legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship. + Norelocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates currentlyresiding within a 80km radius of Calgary Alberta will be considered Preferred
+ Minimum1 year experience in a manufacturing distribution center oil & gasutility or other industrial setting providing Human Resources support preferred + CPHRCertification + MBAor master’s degree in human resources is preferred + Experiencesupporting remote client groups + Experiencein a unionized environment Position Criteria: + Abilityto work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities andresponsibilities. + Effectiveverbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact well withemployees at all levels. + Workingknowledge of HR metrics and data management. + Stronganalytical aptitude and problem solving skills. Ability to makerecommendations using sound independent judgment. + Knowledge of and experience in labour andemployment laws affecting human resources management. + Strongcoaching facilitation and conflict management skills. + Demonstratedability to build organizational capability. + Abilityto think and act strategically. + Strongexperience in recruiting and selection activities for all levels of employment. + Effectivetime management and project management skills. + Demonstratedproficiency in Microsoft applications including sound working knowledge ofExcel. + Demonstratedprofessionalism with all levels of employees and senior leaders.
