We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Calibration Technician to join our Mission Systems Division supporting the System Test and Qualification group in Rancho Bernardo CA.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITES:
+ Perform system integration and testing for multiple sensors.
+ Develop test plans and procedures to meet all test objectives.
+ Conduct testing in the lab as described on the flight test cards.
+ Conduct software and hardware testing create test reports and analyze test results and simulation data.
+ Assess system performance and provide detailed descriptions of anomalies to software and hardware teams.
+ Duties will include conducting anechoic chamber testing and operating the Lynx Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) on both manned and unmanned airframes. Duties will also include integrating multiple sensors on manned platforms.
+ Will perform data analysis of radar flight and simulation data.
+ Essential Functions:
+ Work with flight operations engineering and program management in support of system integration and test for flight test activities. Will be required to assess overall system performance and identify future testing needs. Also responsible for development of lab test reports and presentation of findings at technical reviews and meetings.
+ Provide work instructions for test equipment to be integration on the manned platform. Assist in integration and perform ground test of the system and associated test equipment.
+ Will work closely with the Project Engineers on test plan development and test execution.
+ Provides documentation and makes technical presentations as required.
+ Responsible for observing all laws regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.Job Qualifications:
+ Typically requires education/formal training equivalent to the completion of a two-year technical degree or trade school equivalency as well as six or more years progressively more complex experience in analyzing testing calibrating adjusting and maintaining electromechanical mechanical optical pneumatic hydro-mechanical and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
+ Must possess the ability to develop and communicate new concepts; apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment; organize schedule and coordinate work phases; and determine the appropriate approach at the task level or with assistance at the project level to provide solutions to a range of complex problems.
+ Must have strong communication computer documentation presentation and interpersonal skills ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to perform complex tasks in one or more engineering areas; capable of representing the organization as a technical contact and participate in a team of moderately experienced professional employees on single component projects.
+ Must possess the ability to: 1) understand Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and Moving Target Indicator (MTI) modes 2) plan execute and analyzes system tests 3) develop timely and accurate documented results of the data analyzed in company formats 4) work with simulation tools and lab test data. Must be able to prioritize and multi-task while conducting testing.
+ Must be available for occasional travel comfortable flying in small aircraft comfortable operating a radar (and EO/IR sensor) and comfortable working in a Ground Control Station (GCS).
+ Must be comfortable working with the customer. Able to work extended hours as required.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance is required.
+ Must meet physical demands of position and be able to lift up to 100 lbs with assistance.Travel Percentage Required:
