We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Mission Systems Team here in San Diego. We are looking for someone who enjoys developing new architectures that solve critical problems and then developing and integrating hardware in a fast paced environment. The successful candidate will report to the Manager of RF Systems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Serve as a recognized authority in architecting radio frequency and signal processing electronics conceptualizing and articulating innovative resolutions to highly technical and complex Engineering challenges.
+ Function in a leadership role directing the planning and oversight of the successful implementation of technical solutions.
+ Represent the company through technical presentations and papers as an expert consultant and champion of RF and signal processing knowledge.
+ Attract and retain Engineering business and professional staff.
+ Anticipate and report on future Engineering challenges that will directly impact the present and future Engineering objectives of the organization.
+ Perform analysis of candidate designs to determine the impact to subsystem and system performance.
+ Support supplier evaluation and proposal development.
+ Provide technical management of subcontracts when required.
+ Perform integration testing and troubleshooting of electronic subsystems.Job Qualifications:
+ Typically requires a bachelors degree masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows: eighteen or more years of experience with a bachelors degree sixteen or more years of experience with a masters degree or thirteen or more years with a PhD.
+ Previous experience with modeling and analysis of electronics systems subsystems and circuits is required. Previous experience with Advanced Design System (ADS) Matlab Simulink Mathcad and PSpice software is desired.
+ Proficiency with LabView or Python programming software is desired.
+ Must be a team player with excellent communications skills both verbally and in technical writing.
+ Must be able to prepare and conduct detailed technical presentations and reviews. Must be customer focused.
+ Some travel and extended work schedules may be required.
+ Must be able to work on a self-initiated basis and in a team environment.
+ MUST have an ACTIVE DoD SECRET Security Clearance. (BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN THE PAST 5 YEARS)Travel Percentage Required:
