We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team as part of our Electromagnetics System group located in Rancho Bernardo CA.Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Analyzes design reliability and quality to recommend process changes and enhancements.
+ Creates or recommends design dimensional or manufacturing process changes to improve products and reduce costs.
+ Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Participates in functional testing and/or inspection of equipment and systems.
+ Implements solutions to complex problems occurring internally and at vendor facilities.
+ Prepares statistical analysis reports specifications and other technical documents.
+ Interprets and adapts quality standards and government regulations.
+ May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
+ Arranges maintains and tracks the calibration requirements for all company assets requiring calibration.
+ Arrange in-house calibration service as well the shipping of components/fixtures/test equipment requiring calibration to and from qualified calibration service providers.
+ Maintains all calibration records (objective quality evidence) and the company’s calibration computer database.
+ Promulgates a weekly calibration status report to upper management.
+ Arranges for the repairs and servicing of all measuring and test equipment inclusive of routing Purchasing Requests (PR) for approval.
+ Conducts scheduled and unscheduled audits of the company’s calibration readiness in accordance with approved procedures and processes.
+ Acts as the single point of contact for all matters related to company asset calibration requirements
+ Process at a Subject Matter Expert level of knowledge on the appropriate Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) related to NAVAIR program and contractual requirements.
+ May also generate and maintain files of all quality and as-built information for each product.
+ Performs other duties as assigned or required.

+ Typically requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or related discipline and five or more years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree or three or more years with a master’s degree. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
+ Must be customer focused and possess the ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications and perform basic mathematical computations.
+ Ability to interpret complex technical information and respond to same.
+ Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and familiarity with the use of office and MRP software.
+ Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.
+ Strong organizational skills as well as experience with ISO 9001 The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994 are highly desirable.
+ Must have the analytical ability required to develop creative solutions to routine and non-routine quality issues and the skills required to present those solutions to internal and external customers.
+ Must be detail-oriented and accurately prepare statistical reports in support of company objectives.
+ Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to interact with the customers at all levels of management.
+ The ability and willingness to work extended hours as required.Travel Percentage Required:
