The HD Electrical Technical Sales Manager will use their technical knowledge and current electrical utility customer relationship building skills set to grow HDE revenue in Europe. Providing advice and support on a range of high voltage test, measurement, and safety products, for which a certain level of expertise is needed.
The customer are the high voltage electric utilities, electric rail, and high voltage contractors. Typically working with tool specifying staff, system engineering staff, safety leadership, and senior management at the end users to drive brand and tool preference. Additionally, supporting local utility distribution channel in supplying HD Electric products to the customers as directed by the Utility needs.
Technical sales managers are a key point of contact for customers and provide both pre and after sales advice. They work closely with other members of the sales team and colleagues from a range of departments, such as:
+ Research & development
+ Senior managers.ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:The Technical Sales Manager reports to the Director of Sales, who is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. Maintains close working relationship with Sales Management, Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing.HUMAN RELATIONS:It is a requirement that this position deal effectively and professionally with all levels of the Textron Tools and Test organization and customers, including executive levels. The individual must be an excellent communicator and able to effectively identify and resolve complex problems. Must have the interpersonal skills and organizational agility necessary to coordinate multi year projects that have significant impact on the organization and require cooperation by several departments for completion.RESPONSIBILITIESThe tasks carried out by technical sales manager include:
+ Leverage existing Electrical Utility business process knowledge to drive business expansion in the given territory through extensive customer contact and channel partner development.
+ Collect, communicate market information (prices, practices, competitors etc.). Manage the execution of strategy in relation to market knowledge.
+ Develop sales in Europe for tools of different usage and new markets and customers.
+ Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
+ Provide technical trainings & seminars and promote technical products acceptance and use at end users.
+ Support regional and national exhibitions
+ Develop strategic initiatives, support regional and national exhibitions and ensure that all objectives are achieve
You will need to have:
+ Recient experience in selling to European Electrical Utilties
+ Solid technical background in high voltage test, measurement
+ Fluent language skills for appropriate countries
+ Specific knowledge of international cultures
+ Effective communication and presentation skills
+ Well organized and result oriented problem solverEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:This technical sales position requires a Bachelor& 8217;s Degree in Business, Engineering or related field plus 5 years of professional selling experience.
