••Manager Environmental Health & Safety••


The Environmental Health &Safety (EHS) Manager improves the quality of safety and environmentalmanagement processes following established regulations, policies, standards,and practices. Ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental programs.

••Overall Purpose of theRole:••

The Environmental, Health andSafety Manager will be responsible but are not limited to developing new andimplementing existing company EH&S programs, regulatory compliance with allapplicable federal, state, and local environmental, industrial hygiene, andoccupational health regulations. The EHS manager will ensure continuingcompliance by participating in compliance audits and overseeing internalaudits. Coordinates with production supervisors to ensure compliance withregulations, and effective health and safety training for all employees. TheEHS coordinator will be responsible for ensuring implementation andcoordination of that all regulatory documentation is maintained and thatrequired reports are filed in a timely manner.

••Strategy and Development:••

& 61623;Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice within thehealth, safety and environmental area by promoting the vision, strategy,policies, processes and procedures of EHS through training and prevention.

& 61623; Defines and manages businessinitiatives and projects and reviews and communicate the impact on EHSactivities

& 61623; Prioritize improvement withina defined budget

••General and Task Management:••

0 Supports Safety Committee in all regulatory andcompany reporting requirements;

0 Act as the Emergency Response CoordinatorKlavan

0 Work with production supervisors to develop andimplement programs to maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliancewith OHSA and the Company EHS policies and procedures

0 Conduct risk assessments, industrial hygienemonitoring and conduct facility audits to eliminate, minimize and controlexisting and potential hazards

0 Review incident and accident reports to determinemeasures needed to prevent repeats, including root cause analysis

0 Lead incident investigations or root cause analyses

0 Identify EHS training needs, conduct or oversee thistraining, and ensure maintenance of the company training database

0 Support Plant Manager and Safety Committee in theorganization and scheduling of safety Committee meetings

0 Provide assistance regarding material classification,waste profiling and manifesting;

0 Ensure completion of all waste and material trackingand reporting documentation;

0 Lead and document the hazard evaluations

0 Ability to write effective procedures and supplementplant personnel in actually writing operating and maintenance procedures

0 Assist in developing inspection, test, and preventive maintenanceplans and equipment reliability programs

0 Develop and implement key performance indicators (mostimportantly, leading indicators) to track the progress of on a week by week andmonth by month basis

0 Manage, coordinate and implement all elements of theOSHA Process Safety Management standard and the additional requirements of EPArisk management plan rule

0 Evaluate new processes and modify existing processesand facilities to meet new requirements

0 Work in tandem with the maintenance staff to develop,coordinate and evaluate maintenance programs for highly technical equipment

0 Provide oversight and conduct audits for sitemanagement of change (MOC) and pre start up safety review process. Participateon teams responsible for implementing new products and processes

0 Develop, or assist in developing, organize, scheduleand conduct training programs for the company

0 Inspect and maintain the HAZMAT equipment inaccordance with regulations

••People Management:••

& 61623;Manage, coach and develop a high performing EHS team that meets agreedobjectives and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuousimprovements

& 61623;Provide leadership, direction, management and development to the EHS

& 61623;Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance ofdirect reports

& 61623;Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required

& 61623;Manage and lead the team, ensuring adequate staffing levels, managing holidayallowances, recruitment, training, development, appraisal, attendance,disciplinary issues and daily supervision to maximize efficient productivity

& 61623;Motivate and coach the team to operational success

& 61623;Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record onappropriate systems

& 61623;Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll outthrough the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviorsexpected of them

& 61623;Review, implement and update company records e.g. training matrices,performance reviews, risk assessments

& 61623; Communicate KPIs from thestrategic annual plan so that each employee is aware

& 61623; Defining and maintainingreceiving inspection polies and procedures

••Financial Budget andControl:••

& 61623;Input and hold responsibility for EHS budgets

& 61623;Responsible for achieving budget and forecast

& 61623; Prepare the annual EHS budgetand forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals as well as ensuringcompliance with legal standards. Manage the budget from identification tocompletion of projects or fiscal year

••Relationship Management:••

& 61623;Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customersto ensure optimal performance

& 61623;Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate improvementsand compliance to regulations

& 61623; Communicate with stakeholderson EHS metrics and resolutions

& 61623; Work with facility GeneralManagers on EHS related initiatives and site plans to effectively support productrequirements

& 61623;Assist in facilities by assessing Health, Safety and Environmental risks

& 61623; Participate incross functional teams in the continuous improvement or new development ofHealth, Safety and Environmental processes or tools.

Required Experience••


Required Experience andExperience Levels:••

& 61623; Bachelorof Science, Business Administration, SCM, or Engineering, preferably in Safety,Industrial Hygiene

& 61623; 5 years of experience in an EHS related role in manufacturing

& 61623;Membership of an appropriate professional bodies would be advantageous

& 61623; Priorexperience working with local, state and federal regulatory agencies and involvementin negotiations preferred
