Sr Flight Crew

Candidate will serve as a Sr. Flight Crew Training Specialist/Lead. This position will primarily involvebeing the Flight Training Supervisor over a team of other training specialists. This position may includea significant amountof travel in support of operator training and evaluation in various parts of the world. Candidatewill serve as a subjectmatter expert for operator relatedissues. Must possess or be able to acquire a secret securityclearance.
+ Provide leadership and direction for staff of up to ten (10) Training Specialists.
+ Approve and manage time cards and expense reports
+ Conduct performance evaluations
+ Manage and coordinate unmanned flight line activities.
+ Conduct training task analysis. Assure that uniformand efficient trainingand publications processes are applied on assigned programs.
+ Coordinate editing,production, and deliveryof materials. Coordinate quality control activities to assure the accuracy and adequacy of each trainingproduct including in process/final review, editingfor compliance with all applicable specifications and standards, validation and changeverification.
+ Develop and present formaltraining courses and materials.
+ Evaluate trainingmethods and recommend changes/improvements to ensureefficient and effectivequalification of students.
+ Perform as a SubjectMatter Expert for operator relatedissues. Provide technicaland operational expertisefor training device hardware and software development, testing, and utilization. Interface with hardware,software, and human systems integration engineering personnel to support productimprovement.
+ Serve as classroom, simulator, and/orfield trainer/instructor to provide initialqualification, refresher, sustainment, and remedialtraining. Document and track studentprogress.
+ Assist with preparation of technical, cost,and schedule estimates and proposals. Prepareplans for accomplishing training and documentation tasks. Read and interpret contractsand specifications and assist with determining detailed requirements.Other responsibilities may include:
+ Operational support of Aerosonde.
+ Travel and deploy worldwidewith military forces or commercial customers as required.
+ Direct interface with various customers.
+ Will be requiredto work odd shifts, weekends,and/or extended hours.
+ Responsible for data management and generation.
+ Provides general logisticsfunctions.
+ Troubleshoots technical problems and issuesand determines technicalsolutions.
+ Practice ISO 9001 and AS 9100 Total Qualityprinciples and concepts.
+ Bachelor& 8217;s Degree with 3 years relatedexperience
+ Or an Associate& 8217;s Degree with 5 years related experience
+ Or High School/equivalent with 7 years of relatedexperienceMust currently possessat least one of the following certifications:
+ FAA CFI
+ Aerosonde AVO/PO Certificate of Competency
+ Aerosonde IO Certificate of Competency
+ Army qualifiedInstructor Operator
+ NATOPSInstructor or Evaluator
+ Consideration will be given to candidates with a strongtraining or instructional background in additionto aviation experienceLicenses / Certifications:Must possess or be able to gain Instructor/Operator qualification/certification to perform the duties of a UAS operator and/or maintenance instructor. FAA licenses or certificates such as privatepilot, commercial pilot,instrument rating, CFI, CFI I, A&P,IA are highly desirable. Recentdeployed experience as an Aerosonde Crewmember is highly desired.
+ Successful completion of the AerosondeInitial Qualification Training Courseof Instruction for both the operator and maintenance roles is a condition of continued employment on this program.Position Requirements:
+ Manned aviation or UAS experience is required. Prior qualification as an Aerosondeor other tacticalUAS Operator is highly desired.Dual Operator and Crew Chief qualifications highly desired. UAS Instructor Operatorqualified or CFI rating is preferred.
+ Candidate must be able to safelyand effectively perform the duties of an operatorwithout supervision includingflight, ground equipment setup and logs and records.
+ Ability to coordinate flight schedules, maintenance schedules, airspace, resources, frequency management, inventorymanagement, and other aspects of flight operations.
+ Intermediate to advanced computerskills are required; computer networking experience is desired.
+ Strong attention to detailin administrative requirements and reporting accuracyrequired.
+ Must communicate effectively with internal and external customers both verbally and in writing,and possess strong leadership skills.
+ Strong organizational skills are necessary.
+ Prior deployed experience as a UAS crewmember a desired plus.
+ Amount of travel dependent on contract award,during periods of high instructional demand, candidate will be stationed at Blackstone to supervise their team. Duringperiods of high operational demand,candidate may be expected to deploy to various sitesaround the world.
+ Relocation to VA required.
+ Must be a U.S. citizen with the abilityto obtain/maintain a government securityclearance within 90 days of hire. Possessionof current DoD secret clearancepreferred.Physical Requirements:Occasional lifts or pulls of up to 50 poundsare normal and the physicalrequirements include stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling,reaching, climbing, handling, fingering, and feeling.Though many of the workinglocations are in covered or climate controlled facilities, the applicantmay be required to work in extremehot or cold temperatures in multiple environmental climates.
