Carrier Corporation has an opening for the position of Security VAR Sales Engineer at its Miami Lakes, Florida, facility.
The Security VAR Sales Engineer job duties include the following:
+ Develop sales and marketing programs for digital and traditional electronic security products and solutions, collecting and analyzing marketing and sales statistics for continued growth
+ Build accurate forecast of orders, backlog and shipping on a monthly basis
+ Develop account planning strategies per business partner with specific tasks, activities and deliverables according to individual growth expectations and vertical market goal, creating sales reports and individual account performance trends
+ Coach customers on installation and programming of digital and traditional electronic security systems using industry-wide recognized standards and techniques
+ Monitor industry trends, market shifts and competitive offering
+ Obtain, maintain and improve a working body of knowledge of all digital and traditional electronic security products by fulfilling product certification program requirements set forth by Training, Product Management and Engineering functions
+ Develop new or existing key accounts, develop and quote projects to VAR channel, and attend sales and marketing meetings
+ Develop strategic marketing plans to participate in specialized security trade shows and configure technologies to be showcased
+ Design, test and document best engineering practices for NPI (New Product Introduction) products to better respond to customer demands and various installation scenarios according to individual geographies. International travel approximately 70
The Security VAR Sales Engineer must also possess at least four years of work experience with the following: Electronic Security Commercial Business channel and account management, within Central America and the Caribbean regions Visiowave/UltraView video platform OEM Sales, Distribution and Channel Management and Enterprise Access Control Systems, Enterprise IP Video, Fire Detection and Alarm Systems and Integrated Security Software.
