I am creating the 2013 Maintenance Skills Competition (MSC) to be held in Las Vegas on March 12 - 14th, 2013 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. There are 16 scheduled events to be competed in 5 different categories: Commercial Aviation, General Aviation, Schools, Military and MRO/OEM. Each team consists of 5 AMT/AMEs and each team will perform all 16 events but only scored against teams in their respective category.
Each event is given 20 minutes to be completed in and scoring is arrived at the amount of time used out of the 20 minutes plus any time judges give for penalties. There is a 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place for all 5 categories plus the William F. O'Brien Award which is presented to the one team with the lowest overall score from among all the teams competing.
International teams are welcome to compete. All events and criteria are listed on the 2013 MSC web site at
