AVIATION MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTORS (FAA Part 147 School)

Since the purchase of our first aviation school in 1994, Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) has grown into the largest group of aviation maintenance technician career schools in the nation, that are approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). We currently have Eleven (11) campuses in Nine (9) states from coast to coast which include California, Nevada, Texas, Missouri, Indiana, Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania and finally Virginia where our corporate offices are also located.
At AIM we are always looking for qualified and experienced individuals to pass along their skills at our campuses to the future workforce in the aviation maintenance industry. We currently have openings for full-time & part-time A&P Instructors in Oakland, CA to help teach a growing student body. This position is a perfect opportunity for experienced A&P Mechanics looking to take the next step on their aviation career path. Both daytime and night classes held Monday-Thursday.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree in related field preferred
FAA A&P Certificate REQUIRED
FCC GROL and/or NCATT Certificate a PLUS
3+ years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance (special considerations will be given for more diverse experience)
Ability to demonstrate a command of theory and practice, contemporary knowledge and continuing study in field of aviation maintenance

Special consideration will be given for prior teaching experience, however we offer a teacher training course to help you perfect your style and learn how to translate your skills in the classroom.
