In a perfect world the Avjobs system should...

Memorize the email sign in information for faster access to my mail.

Now it does! Due to the high number of requests for single sign in, you no longer have to re-enter your sign in info! As you may have already noticed, the system now logs you directly into your email account without requiring you to enter your username and password again!

For security purposes, it was required that you sign in separately to check your @myavjobs.com email account.

Thanks to your feedback, and our wonderful technical department, we have implemented a single sign-on process. Your mail will still open in a new window, however, you will not be prompted to enter your sign in info - way to go!

What is this , and this ,and this ,and this ?

The Icon Legend.

Icons have been added to make it easier to visually scan the list of available jobs and their details. Much the way many reference books do, we employ icons to attract attention to information that is important or that needs to be differentiated from the others in a particular section. These icons are used routinely throughout the Avjobs Applicant System.

For information on icons, symbols and colors, click the "Icon Legend" link located directly above any job posting.

is the New Posting Icon. This icon indicates that the posting has been added to the system in the last 7 days.

is the Modified Posting Icon. This icon indicates that something in the posting has been changed in the last 7 days. The change could be anything including, work location, wage information, job description, application instructions, etc...

is the Close Date Approaching Icon. This icon indicates that the cut off date for applications is within 7 days. After the "Last Date to Apply" has passed the posting will be automatically removed from the system.

is a Notification Icon. This icon indicates that you have taken some type of action on this position; using the "One Click" Application process, the Automated FAX tools, or Saved this position to "My Jobs".

And there is NO better way to practice than with an actual job from an actual aviation related employer. Take the opportunity to polish your skills and become comfortable with your ability to answer questions as well as ask questions them professionally. You should schedule and go on at least 20 interviews to be ready for the job you want.

#2 - Networking. What better way to network, than with the actual people you are trying to get to? Through the interview, you may find other job opportunities within that company or even with another company. Remember you must go thru one door to get to the next.

#1 - Jackpot. You never know, it could turn out to be the dream job you never knew about. We have even seen companies use a "Dummy Job" or a "Front Job" to filter out unqualified candidates, when they are actually hiring for other positions that they are not advertising. No matter what, you will gain experience for your next job or career move.

We strongly recommend that you APPLY for any job that looks interesting to you.

Avjobs has a new client that will be doing an extensive resume search to fill a confidential pilot vacancy as quickly as possible. They will not be posting the vacancy but only sourcing resumes. This activity will be starting today and will continue until the position is filled.

Now is a great time to log in to your Avjobs account to be sure that you have completed the Online Job Application so your credentials and valid contact detail are available for this employer. If you haven't already, it is important that you complete each field in the form so during the resume search, this content in your resume will come up in the search results.
