Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary area of focus is on Boeing Narrow Body aircraft structure. Will prepare repair development, repair submittals to Boeing, and provide repair instructions in an EA format to Production. Incorporates FAA mandated Airworthiness directives, Federal Aviation Regulation changes, airframe manufacturer service bulletins, and component manufacturer Service Bulletins. Can provide engineering oversight of repairs needed to correct discrepancies discovered while aircraft is in check. Functions as a team leader / member on projects with Engineering Liaisons, Maintenance Planning, Maintenance, and Quality Control. Assists in Development of an Engineering Procedures Manual. Knowledge and experience working with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) part 121 and 145 regulations related to operational and maintenance requirements of air transport category aircraft or the equivalent European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) regulations. Applicant must have experience and understanding of commercial airline engineering and maintenance operations with detailed knowledge related to repair and modification of aircraft door, fuselage, stabilizer, and wing structures.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
A theoretical and practical knowledge of Boeing Narrow Body aircraft structure. Strong analytical ability, particularly in identifying problems and significant trends. Experience or ability to utilize 2D AutoCAD software. The ability to balance multiple tasks and an aptitude for project management. Excellent leadership, communications, and speaking skills required. Will have a well developed ability to create, implement, and adhere to plans and schedules. Places a higher priority on team and organizational goals than own goals. Offers to provide assistance and / or project team leadership to other teams and / or employees when doing so would benefit the organization. Previous management experience is preferred.
Typical Education / Experience:
B.S. degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering. 5 to 10 or more years of related work experience. Experience with obtaining 8110’s, 337’s and STC’s. Experience with Boeing 727, 737, and 757 aircraft are preferred.
The Rotables and Distribution department in the Miami office has an opening for a Rotables Sales Manager. If you can handle a fast pace work environment, can deal with stress in a positive manner, if you like inside sales with the possibility of outside sales and you like the aviation industry, this position might be what you are looking for. This position handles the sale, brokerage, cost plus exchange and flat exchange of Barfield and customer rotable inventory. This position requires experience with South and Central American Commercial Airlines and MRO customers. The ideal candidate has current industry contacts, knowledge of rotable inventory, and knowledge of import and export regulations. There will be traveling up to 40%.
Salary (Annual) From: $45000 To: $70000
