The Impact Youll Make in this Role

As a Pilot Laboratory Technician you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here you will make an impact by:

• Operating pilot web lines to run experiments for New Product Introductions for Abrasive Systems Division

• Engaging with product developers engineers and other technicians to coordinate and complete runs and providing data and observation feedback during and after activities

• Maintaining a safe and organized work environment and enhancing the operational safety and efficiency of the pilot lines by identifying and implementing improvement opportunities

• Record keeping and communication of technical work and results and contributing to documentation of intellectual property

• Following and developing standard operating procedures and process documentation

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (completed and verified prior to start)

• One (1) year of experience operating pilot or manufacturing scale equipment (e.g. coaters extruders web handling etc.) in a private public government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Certificate or associates degree in technical field

• 3+ years of experience operating coating extruding web handling equipment

• Proficiency in statistics or analytical software

• Proficiency in navigating computer systems: Word Excel email Enovia PLM SAP

• Basic mathematical coordinating and communication skills

Work location:

• Maplewood MN

• This Role has an on-site working model with the employees working five (5) days a week in the office at 3M Center located in Maplewood MN

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $75064 - $91745 which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including but not limited to the candidates relevant knowledge training skills work location and/or experience.
