ASEC IncDescription: ASEC is looking for an Engineer to assist with developing maintaining and upgrading Navy aircraft communications radar and weapons systems. The general responsibilities of this position are to help plan coordinate conduct and provide engineering expertise while supporting requirements development engineering design integration test and evaluation and in-service engineering on Naval aircraft and their associated weapon sensor and communications systems. . Requirements: Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science degree in electrical Engineering (BSEE) Mechanical Engineering Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering Computer Science or a related engineering discipline from a school of engineering having a curriculum which was accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) is required. At least three (3) years of related engineering experience. Skills and Qualifications:Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Detail oriented. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Products to include: Outlook Excel Word and PowerPoint. Experience utilizing software tools for engineering is desired. Ability to adapt to evolving technology. Tasks/Responsibilities:Help review technical proposals and technical documentation in order to identify possible technical deficiencies and potential improvements. Help identify plans evaluate and prescribe corrective action for Navy aircraft deficiencies to improve the aircrafts capabilities safety accuracy and reliability. Participate in meetings and conferences convened to discuss engineering issues problems design development of new and/or upgraded air vehicles and systems. Assist in a team environment to assure products and services related to engineering are delivered within budget and on schedule while meeting technical requirements. Anticipates the implications that technological changes will have on assigned weapon system programs and ensures the timely integration of advanced technology into team efforts.Required Clearance: This position requires a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must have an ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE.
