General Description<br /><br />Provide air transportation for company top executives in both domestic and international travel.<br /><br /><br />The job is technical in nature in that the incumbent is responsible for the safe operation of complex high performance jet aircraft. This requires both a high degree of technical knowledge (as explained further below) and aeronautical skills.<br /> <br />Knowledge requirements are that of specific aircraft systems and electronic equipment aircraft emergency procedures instrument flight procedures Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations international flight rules and company operating procedures.<br /><br />The work environment is stressful in nature requiring immediate and proper decisions while operating in and out of hundreds of large and small airports often during periods of adverse weather. Direct contacts are made with the highest level company executives executives of other companies customers and dignitaries. This requires a personality and disposition with inspires confidence and promotes a favorable image.<br /><br /><br />This position is directly responsible for a company asset in excess of $9000000 together with the safeguarding of the lives of the companys top executives in flight.<br /><br /><br />Requirements<br /><br />Must have 3000 hours total flight time.<br /> Must have 1000+ hours total jet flight time.<br /> Must have a minimum of 500 hours of total jet Pilot in Command (PIC).<br /> FAA Aircraft Type Ratings in Challenger CL-600 and Learjet LR-60 preferred.<br /> Must possess an FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) Certificate.<br /> Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.<br /> Domestic Flight Experience.<br /> FAA Aircraft Type Ratings in Company Aircraft.<br /><br /><br />Tasks<br /><br /> Ensure safe air transportation for top level executives.<br /> Maintains proficiency in two types of aircraft to provide the company with greater versatility in air service.<br /> Attains and maintains the highest level of knowledge and proficiency to safeguard company personnel and assets.<br /> Makes decisions in flight which would affect a safe outcome.<br /> Coordinates with other departments within the company to ensure that air transportation requirements will be met on schedule.<br /> Ensures the company aircraft are operated in the most efficient manner possible.<br /> Presents a favorable company image to guests and customers by promoting good passenger relations while onboard the aircraft.<br /> Continuous recurrent training to maintain proficiency and knowledge levels attendance at professional and technical seminars coordinating with maintenance personnel to solve aircraft equipment problems and various administrative duties.<br /> Each pilot is required to maintain proficiency in two different types of jet aircraft. Pilot licenses and skill level required for this position are equal to that of an airline captain; FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certification and FAA First Class medical certification.<br /> Responsible for and the final authority in the safe operation of company aircraft. This position reports to the Chief Pilot and the Director-Flight Operations. Subordinates are one other flight crew member during the planning and operational stages of each scheduled flight.<br /> The ratio of time spent in flight planning to that of actual flying is about 2:1. This involves analysis of weather data reference to technical manuals and calculating aircraft performance criteria. Pre-flight coordination is also required with Air Route Traffic Control personnel and the aircraft maintenance department.<br /><br /><br />Type Full-time<br /><br /><br />
