POSITION SUMMARY The Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for production of Adcole Spaces market-leading sun sensors star trackers and star cameras. This includes responsibility for safety quality delivery costs methods and quantity of production. Daily tasks will be focused on leading operations to ensure smooth high quality on time and efficient production of our products. This includes the scheduling of parts machines and people across competing priorities as well as addressing any issues gaps or shortages that may arise. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES The following list of essential job functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary. Directs the manufacturing and packaging functions for high quality products and to achieve the business drivers of cost quality customer service compliance and safety. Coordinates the planning and execution of manufacturing schedules based on sales requirements and plant capacity. Motivates coaches monitors and evaluates performance of direct reports. Develops and recommends company manufacturing policy establishes manufacturing operating policy and directs and supervises the application of such policies to the manufacturing operations. Supervises installation and maintenance of all processing equipment used in manufacturing. Prepares cost control reports cost estimates and manpower and facilities requirement forecasts. Prepares specifications for purchase as to quality quantity delivery and service required for purchase of plant equipment supplies and materials to meet production schedules. Establishes and maintains inventory controls and levels to conform to budgets and forecasts. Ensures good workplace organization along with focus on mass balance and high yield. Champions change and implements continuous improvement initiatives to generate cost savings. SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS While this position reports to the company President who has oversight of operations the individual in this role will be interfacing daily with colleagues and leadership in every department including Sales Engineering Quality and Finance along with external Suppliers Customers and Consultants. The range of responsibilities within the organization can evolve and grow in conjunction with demonstrated results and talent. SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY Ability to effectively lead people and manage outcomes by focusing on adherence to daily management processes and their continuous improvement. Technical experience with development and assembly of industrial equipment machining and manufacturing. Experience with complex software systems for managing operations and customer relations (e.g. ERP MRP CRM etc.) High level of proficiency in all Microsoft Office products (Outlook Project Word Excel PowerPoint) including outputs such as graphs charts spreadsheets reports etc. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers some of whom will sometimes require high levels of patience tact and diplomacy. Active listening skills in order to understand and interpret employee and customer needs. Excellent professional communication skills including but not limited to business correspondence email and telephone calls. Superior organizational and time management skills and the ability to efficiently and effectively handle a myriad of duties simultaneously while maintaining a positive and professional attitude. Strong decision-making skills sound judgment and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment. QUALIFICATION STANDARDS Education: Bachelors degree required preferably in Business or Engineering.
