Regional Clinical Director Pacific West Region AZ CA or NV Homebased
+ Previous critical care or emergency department management experience preferred.
+ Flight management experience preferred.
This position will be homebased in California or Arizona.
Oversees all medical facets of the assigned region. Supervises and provides direction and support to Regional Clinical Managers and Clinical training team members. Coordinates with medical management in the development, implementation and enforcement of new and existing standards, Medical Quality Management Programs, and educational and training standards and documentation. Participates in the development and standardization of the division-wide clinical standards in cooperation with the Vice President of Clinical Operations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
+ Interfaces with Regional Leadership, Regional Clinical Directors, and Regional Clinical Managers to insure effective provision of medical care provided, including standards, training, and quality management.
+ Collaborates with Director of Clinical Education, Regional Clinical Managers and Regional Clinical Directors on medical care issues and clinical standardization.
+ Assists in evaluating critical thinking, procedure and equipment competencies of clinical staff Assists VP of Clinical Operations and Regional Physician Advisors in development of new medical standards, and reviews and approves final versions.
+ Provides support to Clinical Based Services (CBS) (and Anti-Drug Manager (ADM) if requested) PIF application responses and approves PIFs prior to program submission to the Commission. Assists with developing and approving capital expenditure plans to support medical needs for the region and programs.
+ Assists with development of annual goals for Air Methods CBS clinical operations.
+ Participates in strategic planning for the region and establishes regional goals for clinical operations. Provides regional medical representation to customers, industry, and outside entities. Facilitates clinical workgroups to include Medical Directors, Regional Clinical Managers and Clinical Educators. Manages personal and professional growth and possesses knowledge of changes and advances in the air medical field.

Directly supervises Regional Clinical Managers. Carries out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, selecting, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. For Exempt Managers: Managers that carry out these responsibilities for two or more employees will have significant input in hiring and termination decisions.Required Experience

Education & Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Management or Health-Related field and ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Master’s Degree in Management or Health-related field, preferred
+ Previous management experience in a flight program, preferred
+ Five (5) years’ experience in critical care/emergency care
+ Three (3) years Flight Nurse/Paramedic and management experience
+ Understanding and demonstration of balancing financials with operations
+ Advocate for patients and team members
+ Excellent written and verbal communication
+ Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of collaboration at all levels
+ Ability to manage and administer a broad range of tasks
+ Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
+ Ability to build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally
+ Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
+ Current RN/Paramedic licensure for state(s) of practice
+ Specialty Certification (CFRN, CCRN, CEN)
