Job Summary

Coordinate and support all aspects of aircraft heavy maintenance projects management of projects from pre-induction inspection to delivery to end customer driving cost savings and TAT reductions to meet or exceed developed standards.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

Manage airframe component overhaul and avionics shops to provide better than industry TAT on all products/components back to inventory working with inventory control management
Develop and maintain key metrics for all aspects of production to set standards and reduce TAT and Cost; to include but not limited to: productivity over time performance TAT cost capacity backlog project dashboards and project Gantt charts
Develop and drive a continuous improvement culture in the Repair Station using LEAN principles seven elements of waste and 6S practices
Build manage and own annual expense budget for Repair Station
Develop robust operational processes and procedures to fall in line with heavy maintenance and overhaul bench mark practices in the aviation industry expand/drive usage of RAMCO in all Repair Station processes
Maintain monthly reporting and key metric dashboards for review with department Sr. Director Vice President and peers
Collaborate with peer group to manage areas of responsibility and help maintain all department goals and objectives
Develop annual scorecard with quantifiable goals and objectives that flow up to company/departmental objectives and goals
Develop and manage an engaging workforce perform annual performance evaluations on all personnel in Repair Station mentor high performers manage performance issues maintain a viable succession plan stacked ranking and 9 box evaluations on all N-1 employees reviewed on a semiannual basis with peer group and department VP
Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises employees in the 145 Repair Station. Carries out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing selecting hiring and training employees planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance rewarding and disciplining employees addressing complaints and resolving problems. For Exempt Managers: Managers that carry out these responsibilities for two or more employees will have significant input in hiring and termination decisions.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. Education and Experience

Bachelors degree (BS/BA) from four-year college or university in Aviation Management and at least 10 years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
5 years experience managing A&P technicians in a 145 Repair Station environment; or 10-15 years of experience managing a 145 Repair Station
Strong LEAN and 6S background with proven/measureable success
Proven quantifiable metric driven background and culture
Ability to lead VSM (Value Stream Mapping) exercise process development
10+ years experience maintaining following aircraft type AS350 Bell 407 EC130 or EC135
