SummaryTHIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.This National Guard position is for a THEATER AEROSPACE OPERATIONS COMMAND AND CONTROL SPECIALIST (Title 32) Position Description Number D1934000 and is part of the IL 183 WG National Guard. Learn more about this agency ResponsibilitiesAs a THEATER AEROSPACE OPERATIONS COMMAND AND CONTROL SPECIALIST (Title 32) GS-2101-9/11 you will provide advanced technical instructional and training support to upgrade skills to obtain maximum performance on all aspects of the Air Operations Center forces level weapons system.This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties.Administer refresher and advanced training to technical personnel.Instruct and evaluate assigned technical personnel in advanced aerospace operations applications.Instruct and evaluate enlisted AOC specialties to become instructors.Monitor progress during training and advises when personnel are ready for positional certification.Interview assigned personnel to determine operational background in their respective weapons systems/specialties.Prescribe type sequence and extent of required training.Perform as instructor and/or examiner evaluating and examining AOC personnel to determine preparation for the application of aerospace force/operations.Determine progress and proficiency levels provide requalification evaluations and direct/provide specialized remedial or additional training as necessary.Assist in the planning and development of instruction on AOC operations skills.Evaluate formal training directives and develop course changes new material new training systems and methods.Project enlisted unit training requirements.Prepare required training records.Review and ensure compliance with directives regulations reports and operationally specific publications.Support and assist the development of briefings and mission preparations including: combat planning weather factors mission objectives and other agency coordination to ensure effective mission execution.Assist in the design and coordination of comprehensive training plans and scenarios.Assist in the interpretation coordination and conduct of planning and execution of higher headquarters contingency and exercise campaign guidance.Assist in the collection review and dissemination of data on tactics and employment techniques for all weapons system.Manage all technical aspects of datalink interfaces in order to provide accurate and consolidated air picture.Travel Required Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.Supervisory status No Promotion Potential None Job family (Series) 2101 Transportation Specialist Similar jobs Command And Control Center Specialists Command Center Specialists Control Center Specialists Specialists Command Center Specialists Control Center Help Requirements Conditions of Employment NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience education or training interpreting explaining and/or applying a variety of regulations and procedures; and experience using computer and automation systems.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-11 Level - Must have at least 36 months experience education or training arranging or procuring transportation for personnel cargo or freight; experience in non-routine pre and post auditing of freight bills bills of lading and personnel transportation vouchers; experience coordinating and negotiating with organizations/personnel both orally and in writing to resolve differences/problems. GS-09 Level - Must have at least 24 months experience education or training in arranging or procuring transportation for personnel cargo or freight; experience in pre and post auditing of freight bills bills of lading and personnel transportation vouchers; experience coordinating and negotiating with organizations/personnel both orally and in writing to resolve differences/problems.One year of specialized experience equivalent to the lower grade level in the Federal service in order to be considered for this position.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community student social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
