This team member will be responsible for optimizing the existing Amazon Air flight schedule while managing through network disruptions and other unforeseen circumstances. As part of creating innovative solutions to optimize the flight schedule this team member will also own the communication of the changes to ensure AIRs internal and external stakeholders are well prepared to execute for Amazon customers. The team member will have opportunities through data analysis modeling and collaboration to contribute to the design of an optimal Amazon Air transportation network that maximizes asset utilization and sets the stage for operational excellence. Amazon Air Supply Chain Managers have a passion for designing innovative aviation solutions that continually improve the experiences of Amazon customers and drive down total cost within the transportation network. They also obsess over details and first pass quality.In this role you will be responsible for: Developing capacity plans and flight schedules based on volume and operational inputs while using metrics to drive continuous improvement Partnering with internal business units including operations ground transportation finance research technology engineering construction and global real estate to effectively manage the air transportation network Utilizing strong communication skills to influence outcomes and overcome barriers across the organization. Navigating through ambiguity managing and coordinating multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment accepting ownership and accountability of the process and delivering on commitments. Utilizing flight scheduling software to develop operating plans that align with existing planning cycles Analyzing data from numerous databases (using Excel Access SQL and/or other data management systems) to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as required Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Transportation Logistics Finance Economics Industrial Engineering or similar field from an accredited university 3+ years in a supply chain transportation and logistics planning role Experience in problem-solving mathematics and analytical skills using data to drive decisions in a business environment Proficiency in Excel Experience working in cross functional organizations Completed Masters Degree in Supply Chain Transportation Logistics Finance Economics Industrial Engineering or similar field from an accredited university Experience in airline network planning flight scheduling or revenue management Proficiency in airline flight scheduling software Experience in project management that shows how to organize find solutions and follow through to a successful conclusionAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
