Looking for a way to finance your flight training while working to build experience as an A&P mechanic? The American Flyers Mechanic to Pilot sponsorship program might be just what youre looking for. Selected candidates will work as an A&P mechanic while earning monthly flight training scholarships in addition to a monthly salary.

Mechanics will earn training for the Private Instrument and Commercial pilot licenses with possible extensions available to also receive certified flight instructor certificates (CFIA and CFII). Opportunities for continued employment with American Flyers as a Flight Instructor or A&P are possible upon completion of this program.

Qualifications
  • Must possess A&P certificates
  • Successful interview
  • Ability to work in the United States (we do not sponsor work visas at this time)
  • Fluency in reading writing and speaking the English language
Maintenance Position Responsibilities
  • 50-hour 100-hour inspections on Cessna 172 Piper100i and Piper Seminoles
  • Scheduled and unscheduled daily maintenance
  • Air-worthiness directives
  • Powerplant and electrical troubleshooting
  • General maintenance
