Apogees culture is infused with integrity and a passion for excellence which has propelled Apogee into the ranks of an elite small business company known for unwavering dedication to their clients success a warm and family-like work environment and an enthusiasm to providing the right solution at the right time.What you will be doing:Assist with providing avionics integration support and technical direction in the areas of requirements generation systems design and integration development modification test production sustainment deployment operations and disposal as required in regards to Communications Navigation Identifications Sensors and Ancillary Systems (CNI SAS).Provide systems engineering expertise and assist as a focal point and technical manager on CNI SAS development efforts.Work closely with USAF Communications Navigation Surveillance (CNS)/Air Traffic Management (ATM) agencies such as AFLCMC/HBA air traffic services and Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Program Managers Aviation including PMA-209 Common Avionics to assist in the generation of performance matrices verification methodologies data collection and performance assessment generation in order to certify required capabilities.Assist with providing navigation databases expertise and development technical management to include but is not limited to: worldwide navigation database terrain avoidance databases and loading/mission planning equipment.Assist the Government by providing knowledge and guidance and producing artifacts to support systems integration; operational safety suitability and effectiveness; airworthiness certification per the latest version of MIL-HDBK-516; safety per Mil-Std-882; and life cycle systems engineering per NAVAIRs equivalent to AFI 63-1201.What youll need:Possess one of the following education and experience combinations:Masters degree with 12 years of experience including 5 supporting the DoDBachelors Degree with 15 years of experience including 5 supporting the DoD20 years of experience including 8 supporting the DoDPossess a current Secret security clearancePossess working knowledge of the DoD Systems Engineering implementation with preference for the NAVAIR implementationPossess knowledge of the development testing and certification process as well as the external suppliers/agencies and products involved such as flight management system suppliers the national geospatial-intelligence agency AFLCMC/HBM air mission planning division digital aeronautical flight information file Jeppesen and avionics weapon electronics.BenefitsApogee offers two medical plans a high deductible health plan with a HRA and a traditional POS plan with co-pays dental vision 401(k) life insurance PTO paid holidays parental military and jury duty paid leaves.This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
