AI/ML Research Engineer-Autonomy

Position Overview

At Aurora Flight Sciences we design build and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies from concept to reality. We are searching for a talented and self-motivated AI/ML Research Engineer-Autonomy to help us create the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Responsibilities

- Develop and apply cutting-edge AI/ML techniques to address technical challenges in aerospace and defense applications.
- Support the rapid development of innovative demonstrations and prototypes to mature AI/ML-enabled autonomous systems including modeling simulation and integration to real-world vehicles.
- Contribute to applied research and development programs in collaboration with external partners including MIT and other institutions.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science or related field with 0-2+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g. PyTorch) artificial intelligence computer vision or natural language processing.
- Experience with software development (e.g. Python).
- Must be a US Person (US citizen or permanent resident/Green Card holder).

Preferred Requirements

- Masters degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with robotics or autonomous vehicles.
- Experience with C++.

Physical Requirements

- Occasional travel may be required.
- This is a hybrid position going on-site weekly at our Cambridge MA or Manassas VA offices. Proximity to one of these locations is required.

Salary Range (Annualized USD)
  • Minimum Range: $62000.00 to $110000.00
  • Maximum Range: $75000.00 to $134000.00
