Helicopter Mechanic job at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville TN
Description, duties, responsibilities
The helicopter mechanic will provide direct support to the Aviation Science program to maintain helicopter fleet, maintain records, and support daily flight operations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Aircraft servicing (fuel, oil, cockpits, cleaning inside and outside, detailing)
Scheduled maintenance (25, 50 and 100 hr. inspections)
Oil and filter changes
Ability to manage maintenance flow of several aircraft
Support daily flight operations
Other duties as assigned
Ability to maintain aircraft records
Ability to maintain maintenance flow of aircraft
Ability to maintain serviceability rate to meet mission demand.
Exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently to flight control surfaces. Must be able to move and load 50 lbs. of materials without assistance or use of additional equipment in a timely manner.
Required Minimum Qualifications
A and P Certificate
Inspection Authority (IA) license
One year experience working on Robinson helicopters, or Robinson factory school training
Microsoft Office knowledge
Robinson R44 factory training
Guimbal G2 Cabri experience
Three years’ experience working on helicopters.
