Executive Level 2 (Upper) (Senior Officer Grade A) $133262 to $142269 plus an additional 15.4% superannuation. Ongoing. Aviation Land and Maritime Transport. The Aviation Land and Maritime Transport (ALMT) Program is responsible for delivering the Aviation Meteorological Services (AMS) portfolio which provides the aviation industry with specialised meteorological services contributing to efficient and effective aviation operations within the Australian Flight Information Regions and the Asia-Pacific Region. We are seeking an experienced and motivated leader to manage the customer business solutions and delivery activities with our aviation customers. The successful applicant will demonstrate significant experience in managing teams responsible for innovation developing business solutions and delivering products and services. To be successful you will be experienced in end-to-end product development preparation of product and service delivery roadmaps collection of customer requirements and development and communication of business proposals and project briefs. The applicant will be a strong communicator and have excellent interpersonal and project management skills. The successful applicant will have high level leadership and team management experience and will contribute to the strategic planning of the Aviation Meteorological Services. They will have accountability for staff development capability building and will work closely with staff to ensure optimum operational and customer outcomes. The Aviation Service Development team is responsible for developing and delivering the Aviation Science and Innovation Roadmap for future requirements new business products and service offerings and implementing new system and service capability. The team will also assist the Aviation Customer Engagement team in developing business proposals business cases and project briefs. The primary roles of the National Manager Aviation Service Development are to manage and develop the team to identify and lead the development of new science and innovation and to arrange the implementation of operationally supported systems and services. Reporting to the General Manager for Aviation Land and Maritime Transport the successful applicant will direct business solutions and delivery staff around Australia and work alongside the National Manager Transport Customer Engagement and the National Manager Aviation Operations. The National Manager Aviation Service Development will require a high standard of written and verbal communication skills to build relationships and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders including the meteorological community and the aviation industry.
