(ACG) currently receives the majority of its information technology services through Pacific Life and will be transitioning to a standalone outsource IT model. </p><p> </p><p>The Director of edge technologies will be one of four in-house subject matter experts that will report to the newly created ACG head of technology and collectively execute the company s technology strategy through a limited number of execution partners (managed service providers). As such the role must have a deep understanding of modern information technology strategy and practices related to their domain and a proven track record of successfully managing the delivery of IT services.</p><p> </p><p>The role will collaborate with the in-house IT team an external strategy partner (to be identified) and ACG senior leaders to develop a well-integrated holistic information technology strategy. The strategy will guide and inform detailed planning of all aspects of the future-state IT operation transition services required and a transition plan.</p><p> </p><p>This role will be instrumental in the creation of the end user experience network and edge security guiding principles strategy and design. It is critical that the future-state user experience transition plan and transition activities are minimally disruptive to business operations and result in an effective efficient and sustainable support model. The role will closely coordinate with the head of enterprise architecture and technology partners to develop and implement ACG s application delivery strategy.</p><p> </p><p>Embracing a consultative approach the role will directly engage stakeholders across the enterprise to understand each function s respective capabilities operating requirements and business objectives. </p><p> </p><p>The role will help in the evaluation selection and management of ACG s new and existing technology partners including strategic partnerships and various execution partners and will be primarily responsible for evaluating and managing the overall spend with the service provider(s) relevant to their area of expertise. </p><p> </p><p>During implementing the future-state IT operations and executing the agreed transition plan the role will lead the implementation efforts for their respective domain and actively manage the quality and progress of work performed by the selected service provider(s).</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p><em><u>STRATEGY:</u> </em>Think creatively about a flexible network security and end-user experience strategy that can effectively serve a small but world-wide operation and respond and adapt to changing business needs and technology improvements. Develop and implement the initial strategy objectively measure its effectiveness and refine/improve on a continual basis.</p><p> </p><p><em><u>OPERATIONS</u></em>: Stand-up the future-state IT operations relevant to your domain effectively manage transition services provided by the current IT service providers and execute the agreed transition plan on time and within budget. Effectively manage strategic partner relationships and execution partner (MSP) services and contracts. Establish an appropriate security and control environment that adequately protects the company s interests while also facilitating global access to data and information. Ensure that ACG has a well-defined edge technology function that fully satisfies all stakeholder requirements and aligns with best practice. Develop and manage associated technology budgets and spend.</p><p> </p><ul><li>Define the company s world-wide blueprint for end-user experience across multiple tools:</li></ul><p> -- Laptops and Desktops</p><p> -- Mobile Devices</p><p> -- Desk Phones</p><p> -- Collaboration Technologies</p><ul><li>Create a world-class highly mobile user experience for the company s employees and contract staff</li><li>Collaborate with the head of enterprise architecture to design and implement the company s edge security and network standards and design</li><li>Collaborate with the head of application development to ensure that appropriate applications are deployed and accessible</li><li>Oversee implementation of ACG s global network topology</li><li>Collaborate with the head of enterprise architecture and technology partners to design and implement the company s application delivery strategy</li><li>Oversee the maintenance of edge-installed operating systems and applications</li><li>Work closely with service delivery partners to define and refine edge tech s service delivery model</li><li>Ensures compliance with all enterprise technology and security standards</li><li>Ensures proper provisioning and de-provisioning of all users</li><li>Helps select and vet technologies technical vendors and the security practices of the company s business partners</li><li>Define and report on appropriate operational metrics</li><li>Have vendor relationship management skills successfully managing the delivery of IT services</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifictions/Experience</strong></p><ul><li>10 years of IT Industry experience</li><li>5 years of experience in a leadership role within enterprise architecture and information security</li><li>Ability to think strategically about this domain for a dynamic fast-paced global operation</li><li>Proven interpersonal and leadership skills to lead the implementation of groundbreaking technology strategy and operations</li><li>Ability to effectively manage 3rd party partners and service providers</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive salary and bonus program</li><li>Medical dental and vision as part our commitment in investing in the health and wellbeing of our employees</li><li>Two retirement savings plans: 401k savings plan with company match and Company Retirement Contribution (company-paid)</li><li>Generous vacation time and holiday pay</li><li>And much more!</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>EEO Statement</strong></p><p>Aviation Capital Group (ACG) is an Equal Opportunity /Affirmative Action Employer M/F/D/V.
