Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Quality Systems Specialist to join our North American Missile Defense Agency in Fort Greely, Alaska.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assists of prepares and maintains Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed.
- May conducts MRB investigations and analyzes process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of problems.
- Participates with stakeholders to develop and execute real time or potential preventive or corrective actions and solutions for implementation.
- Conducts hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, engineering drawings, related business, regulatory and customer requirements and reports results to management.
- Analyzes data to provide material review dispositions for nonconforming materials, parts and equipment.
- Works under general direction.
- Conducts face-to-face discussions or meetings with the customers, engineering, and maintenance functions.
- Read drawing and apply to work tasks to ensure configuration management is met.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience working in a Quality organization or working directly with a Quality organization to provide products or services.
- 1+ years of experience with Work Order or Non Conformance tracking systems (e.g. Manufacturing Enterprise Systems (MES or MMICS), System Application Processes (SAP), etc.)
- 1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications.
- Must be able to ascend and descend vertical work ladders, travel in a silo basket (Maximum load capacity of 275 lbs.), work in confined spaces and work in and around ordnance.
- Must be able to read engineering drawings.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Active Security Clearance.
- American Society for Quality (ASQ) certifications.
- Experience analyzing data and generating metrics reports.
- Experience with gathering data and performing Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA).
- Experience in problem solving and improvement projects.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years related work experience, 10 years related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10 % of the time.
