The Boeing Company’s Business Operations team is currently seeking a Mid-Level Business Operations Specialist to join their team in USA – North Charleston, SC!

This position will focus on supporting Business Operations Integrated Planning & Scheduling.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains, an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements.
  • Produces metrics for plans and schedules for moderately complex projects, programs, and change activities across the lifecycle of a program.
  •  Performs studies/analysis and planning efforts, within and/or across programs/projects, organizations or business units to determine impacts, constraints, and plans involving product development, production rates, production development activities, process improvement, or program initiatives.
  •  Develops the Integrated Master Plan, schedule and supports change incorporation plans related to integrated scheduling products.
  • Performs integration of program plans and schedules, horizontally and vertically, across company functional, product groups, suppliers and partners of moderate complexity.
  • Identifies, analyzes and reports performance variances to management.
  • Works with customers to develop performance recovery plans and incorporates recovery plans where appropriate.
  • Provides training and mentoring to lower level employees.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 3 or more years’ of experience with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • 3 or more years’ of experience with program oversight & metrics reporting.
  • Knowledge of critical path network methodology (e.g., logic, relationship/interdependency, early/late, start/complete, minimum duration).
  • Knowledge of master scheduling tools (e.g., #1 Flow, critical path analysis, trend analysis, improvement curve theory, precedence network).
  • Ability to create project schedules to identify overall timeframe for project activities to meet the defined project objectives

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Operations departments/disciplines (e.g., Fabrication, Assembly, Tooling, Quality, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering).
  • The ability to achieve desired outcomes on projects, on-time and within budget. Ability to define the project, design and plan the project, and manage the project team.
  • 2 or more years’ of project management.

Typical Education/Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years related work experience, 10 years related work experience, etc.)
