The Boeing Company is seeking an ExperiencedWriter to join our team.
This position allows the candidate to be based out of one of the following: Arlington, VA; Titusville, FL; Seal Beach, CA; El Segundo, CA; New Orleans, LA; Huntsville, AL; North Charleston, SC; Chicago, IL; Seattle, WA; Renton, WA; Everett, WA; Hazelwood, MO; Berkeley, MO; Ridley Park, PA; Mesa, AZ; Plano, TX; Houston, TX; San Antonio, TX; or Oklahoma City, OK.
Consults on and produces high-quality, consistent, engaging and accurate written communications materials for internal and external audiences
Products include, but aren’t limited to: news and feature stories for print and web; multimedia storyboards and scripts; speeches; news releases; executive messages / thought leadership; and social media posts
Follows and guides others in common and company-specific style guidance
Understands new topic areas and translates technical information and key messages into accessible and understandable language
Builds relationships with partners across the Communications function to build subject-matter expertise and advise on content strategy
Applies different writing styles and techniques for different channels and objectives; proposes creative storytelling techniques
Demonstrates effective research and interview techniques with internal and external subjects
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
3+ years of experience in Communications (including, but not limited to: Corporate Communications, News Media, and Public Relations)
3+ years of experience working on multiple projects concurrently
Experience with process improvement
Experience collaborating with internal partners to meet business goals and objectives
Experience editing a range of other writers’ products in a corporate communications, public affairs or journalistic environment
Experience writing in Associated Press (AP) style and creating communication plans
Experience in developing and implementing strategic communications plans
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Aerospace industry experience
Knowledge of other common style guides
Ability to write fluently in a language other than English is a plus
Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 4 or more years’ related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: $74,800 - $117,300
