The Boeing Company is actively seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join the Cruise Missile Systems International Program located in Saint Charles, Missouri.

The Cruise Missile Systems (CMS) International Project Engineer will provide data analysis and support to the CMS International Execution Team to enable successful execution of Follow on Support contracts with a wide variety of international customers for Harpoon and SLAM-ER. As the CMS International Project Engineer, you will be working alongside individual Country Managers to help support our customers while having the opportunity to learn all aspects of the business.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Country Manager Support:  Provide support to the Boeing CMS International Execution team including monitoring internal Boeing processes to prevent work stoppage; supporting contracts and external customers; reviewing related Government Property at Boeing in support of CMS; providing Program Management Review (PMR) preparation support; and, acting as a back-up for other Country Managers, when needed.

  • Working with internal departments on contract performance using Boeing Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) and Earned Value Management (EVM).

  • Managing Deliverables by defining plans for risk mitigation, issues, and opportunities; and, monitoring baseline plans to assess project performance, productivity, and lessons learned.

  • Standardizing, developing, and documenting processes.

  • Additional Support:  This job can encompass a variety of tasking including support for Correction Action Requests (CARs) received by the program; export authority support; and lean/process improvements.

  • Domestic and/or international travel as required to support program execution.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the St. Charles, MO location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start isrequired.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 5 or more years of experience in an engineering role

  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally

 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Project Management experience

  • Project Management Professional Certification

  • 7 years of experience in an engineering role

  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Experience with customer proposals and contracting process

Typical Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree and typically 9 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a Masters degree with typically 7 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation is available for internal candidates.
