The 777X Airplane Level Integration Team (ALIT) is looking for a Configuration Management & Product Integration Engineer (Associate) to join our team in Everett, Washington

This team is currently flight testing the 777-9, the longest, largest commercial airplane on the market.  We are also in the early development stages for the 777-8F, the largest freighter airplane on the market. 

This role will support projects on the Engineering Ops team for the 777-9 flight tests and certification, and 777-8FX development program.  With general supervision, support engineering and technical teams in the planning and execution of projects.

This position is 100% onsite position. The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite in Everett, WA

  • Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR)

  • Flight Test Readiness, First Flight Readiness Review
  • Certification/Conformity Planning
  • Special Inspection Planning
  • Engineering Safety Reviews (ESRs)
  • Test A/P Configurations
  • Change Incorporation/Refurb Configurations
  • Life Limited Parts

Key skills to be successful in this role:

  • STRONG project management skills and experience
  • Communication skills at all levels of leadership
  • Be able to get team members to work together using influence skills
  • Think large scale and sustainable (goal is not just to fix the problem today, but also to make sure the problem doesn’t come back)
  • Be open to new ideas and be able to challenge team to think differently

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (ABET accreditation or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working in a collaborate environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of tools
  • Familiarity with REDARS
  • Experience on Boeing commercial airplane programs
  • Customer / Value Stream Focus
  • Engineering design concepts and techniques
  • Process and/or project management skills

Typical Education/Experience: 

Bachelors degree and typically 5 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a Masters degree with typically 3 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
