Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Tool Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Tukwila, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assesses manufacturing requirements and verifies customer requests.
  •  Coordinates with support organizations to resolve manufacturing issues. Works with contract administrators to develop and maintain procurement specifications and standards.
  • Provides guidance and improvement suggestions to outside suppliers and other analysts.
  • Participates in the analysis and research of new technology to provide state of the art cost-effective products.
  •  Gathers manufacturing and product information to develop and recommend solutions to manufacturing requirements.
  •  Investigates changes in manufacturing requirements and support emergent requests.
  • Analyzes, procures and oversees procurement processes for manufacturing tool services products and services.
  • Explores all possible options to resolve potential impacts to budget and manufacturing schedules.
  • Supports the evaluation of outside supplier performance and verification of compliance with procedures and contract specifications.
  •  Participates in the development and management of overhead and capital budgets for the acquisition and inventory of tool services products.
  •  Reviews on-hand inventory and coordinates re-distribution. Participates in the plans for the removal of obsolete inventory.
  • Works under limited supervision.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience in supplier management or supply chain management
  • 1+ years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management
  • 1+ years of experience do you have managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
  • 1+ years of experience working with suppliers in a technical capacity
  • 1+ years of experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience do you have in root cause analysis and Corrective action?
  • 3+ years of experience with various contract types for example:  Time & Materials, Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus

Typical Education/Experience:

Typically, 3 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degrees (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred but not required.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.

 $65,450 - $80,850
