Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking Associate, Experienced, and Career Fabrication Specialists (Levels A, B and C) to support our site in Orangeburg, South Carolina on Variable Shift!
Primary Responsibilities:
Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks.
Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks.
Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains.
Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products.
Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products.
Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests.
Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.
Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.
Works on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd – assigned by Boeing).
6+ months of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
Able to lift up to 35 lbs.; perform frequent lifting up to 10 lbs.; perform occasional carrying, lifting, pushing/pulling, walking, standing, and balancing; perform frequent overhead reaching as well as at or above shoulder level; perform frequent sitting; and frequent climbing.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
1+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
1 year of experience with Lean Principles (Continuous Improvement, Standard Work, and 5-S tools)
1 year of experience leading any of the following: staff, teams, production, or quality system initiatives
1 year of experience with managing or working to safety, quality, and manufacturing performance data
1 year of experience with sanding, taping, mixing material, the application of paint
Typical Education/Experience:
Associate (Level A): Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).
Experienced (Level B): Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).
Career (Level C): Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years related work, Bachelor, etc.)

Summary pay range Associate (Level A): $48,000
Summary pay range Experienced (Level B): $53,500 - $56,500
Summary pay range Experienced (Level C): $61,200 - $64,500
