The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Integrated Planning and Scheduling Specialist to join our E-7A Wedgetail program. In this role, you will be part of an inclusive team that values every members contribution. We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualities:

Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation, development, coordination, scheduling, and change management activities to maintain an integrated plan that meets program and project requirements in line with industry standards.
  • Participate in the maintenance, analysis, and production of metrics related to project plans.
  • Assist senior personnel with risk assessments, developing mitigation plans, and refining business cases.
  • Collect, organize, and provide data updates to maintain the status of programs, schedules, customer and supplier commitments, and compliance.
  • Coordinate document work statements and resulting schedules.
  • Identify and report on performance variances, project status, and change information to the project team.
  • Communicate plan changes and recovery strategies to ensure stakeholder commitment.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by the Company, either on a permanent or temporary basis.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Advanced experience with Open Plan Professional (OPP).
  • Proven track record of providing technical leadership in planning and scheduling for large-scale, complex projects within the Defence Industry.
  • Extensive experience in Project Planning, Project Scheduling, and EVM Systems in a commercial environment.
  • Strong understanding of critical path analysis and the ability to tailor information for various stakeholders and management levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to create project schedules that identify overall timelines, resource requirements, and manage those resources throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of Project Management theory, concepts, and principles as outlined in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide).
  • Familiarity with project planning principles and techniques to achieve desired outcomes on budget and on schedule.
  • Direct understanding of industry scheduling methodologies, including the ability to develop, maintain, analyze, and provide visibility of schedules.
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Defence security clearance is desirable.
