Boeing India Engineering is currently looking for Associate Software Engineer - Devopsto join their team in Bangalore.

We are looking for an experienced engineer to join our DevOps team with experience building a secure and scaling services in a cloud environment. 


Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Improve our DevOps operations in multiple Cloud Service environments
  • Perform in the entire software development process of the DevOps tool chain
  • Design, implement, and maintain a modern system deployment to the cloud environment with a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows for system build, test and deploy in containerized microservices
  • Collaborate on idea creation and development of the DevOps tool chain
  • Support the ongoing lifecycle maintenance of the DevOps tool chain
  • Support the software quality efforts of our Boeing product deliveries to our customers
  • The ideal candidate is a self-starter and someone who works well within a team
  • The engineer should have excellent communication to work across Boeing Engineering teams

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or higher (CS, ECE, Telecom, Info Science)
  • 5+ years hands on experience in DevOps 
  • 2+ years’ experience with Cloud technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, AZURE, or AWS
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, Go, or C++
  • Experience in software development, systems engineering, or integration and test experience with mission systems on tactical platforms
  • Experience working with and supporting systems with Linux Operating System (OS)
  • Proficient in technologies such as Kubernetes, Istio, Rancher, Openshift, Git, Helm, Ansible, Chef, Docker, Prometheus, Grafana, or AppDynamics
  • Experience on Automation and CI/CD techniques and design patterns
  • Demonstrate scripting to build required automation and tools on an ad-hoc basis using Python or Bash scripting.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or higher (CS, ECE, Telecom, Info Science)
  • Solid understanding of the CI/CD process including debugging, test, and integration of software tools.
  • Strong communication and a self-starter that can thrive in a distributed remote work environment.
  • Understanding of secure software development methodologies and Security First demeanor.
  • Understanding of designing and implementing full stack/Microservice infrastructure.
  • Understanding of Istio/Service Mesh
  • Have the ability to set up, and handle a tool-chain using tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Artifactory, ELK, SonarQube, Jira, Prometheus, Fluentd, Helm, DataGrid, JBoss, Cloud Suite, OpenShift, Docker and more.
  • Understanding of security controls such as DoD RMF, HIPAA, or Security Operations Center (SOC)

Typical Education & Experience:


Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years related work experience etc.).
