Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is currently looking for a associate or experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join the Production Engineering team located in Ridley Park, PA.  The selected candidate will be responsible for analyzing non-conformances on the H47 program and providing a disposition for resolution.   

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Assists in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.

  • Works with others to develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build.

  • Assist in implementing manufacturing plans

  • Provides technical support by researching issues related to design, manufacturing, regulations and processes.

  • Interfaces with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience) (see education and experience for the levels below)

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 2 or more years of experience in an engineering discipline.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience)

  • 2 or more years of experience working with composites or composite manufacturing

  • Production engineering experience.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Experience in root cause corrective action

  • Ability to collaborate with both the engineering workforce and mechanics on the factory floor

  • Experience working with MESci (Manufacturing Execution System)

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Typical Education/Experience: 

Level 2

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 3 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
