Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services (BGS), is seeking multiple Cloud OperationsSystem Administrator in Swansea, ILIn this role you will provide Cloud operational engineering support for Tapestrys Global Decision Support System (GDSS) program. GDSS is the primary US Air Force Air Mobility Command (AMC) Command and Control (C2) system and is a globally distributed enterprise class suite of applications designed, implemented and maintained by Tapestry Solutions. GDSS applications and services provide advanced mission planning, command and control for all phases of mobility operations (airlift, airdrop, and air refueling operations).  You will support ongoing efforts to enhance, monitor, and maintain multiple AWS (CloudOne) environments, ensuring high availability.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the management and operations of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure supporting the GDSS program
  • Oversee cloud operations including monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
  • Coordinate with DevOps to develop and implement automation solutions to streamline cloud operations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools
  • Collaborate with development, security, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and operational readiness of cloud applications
  • Manage routine patching and maintenance of infrastructure
  • Manage cloud resource provisioning, cost optimization, and capacity planning
  • Establish and enforce operational best practices, policies, and standards for cloud environments
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior cloud operations engineers
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to critical incidents to minimize downtime
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, operational procedures, and incident reports
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, tools, and industry trends to continuously improve cloud operations

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Global Decision Support System (GDSS) operations

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • CompTIA Sec+ certification

Summary base pay range $80,000 – $96,050
