Boeing Global Services is currently seeking an Industrial Engineer to become part of the team in Seal Beach, CA. This person will play a critical part in enhancing operational efficiency across the organization by developing performance metrics, optimizing processes, and implementing workflow tools. In this role you will collaborate with cross functional teams to drive data-informed decision-making and scalable improvements. A typical day-in-the-life could include leading LEAN discussions with Spares Engineering teams, facilitating workshops, assisting the leadership team with forecasting and metrics, consulting internal and external suppliers on manufacturing improvements as well as creating or updating workflow tools. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate across multiple functions and prefers working in a fast-paced environment.  This individual must be well organized, adaptable and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Seal Beach, CA facility.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with engineering & other functional organizations to obtain resources and develop support plans & schedules
  • Facilitate cross functional LEAN Improvement workshops
  • Manage projects to gain efficiencies through process changes and implementation of best practices
  • Maintain SharePoint queues and workflows to enable cross-functional handoffs and provide management visibility
  • Develop forecasting methodology for SCE team
  • Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicator Metrics for the Supply Chain Engineering Team
  • Develop models, databases, and spreadsheets to analyze data and provide summary analysis and metrics for supporting leadership decsions.
  • Provide Industrial Engineering support to internal and external suppliers

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with Industrial Engineering or Methods Process Analyst.
  • 5+ years of experience with extracting and compiling data from multiple sources.
  • 5+ years of experience with implementing continuous process improvement, lean processes, and employee involvement and engagement strategies.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 6-Sigma / OPD knowledge
  • LEAN Workshop facilitation experience
  • Workflow system knowledge
  • SharePoint familiarity (Infopath and SharePoint Designer are a plus)
  • ADO knowledge
  • VBA / SQL knowledge
  • Additive Manufacturing knowledge
  • Forecasting and Metrics
