Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Mechanic Assistant to join our SAMC Back Shop team in San Antonio, TX.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assist Aircraft Mechanics in servicing, repairing, and overhauling of aircraft and related components
• Technicians will support modifications of various aircraft platforms

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Basic understanding of mechanical concepts or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of various basic hand tools (wrench, drill, sander, die grinder etc...)
• Understanding basic drawings and schematics
• Ability to work variable shifts (i.e. scheduled and unscheduled overtime; weekends and holidays) to support mission requirements and workload

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience with Precision Measuring Tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary Starting Pay Rate: $50,000 / $24.04 per hour

Additive Pay:  

• $1.00/hourly for Airframe Certification
• $1.00/hourly for Powerplant Certification
