Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a FAA Interior Modifications Program First Line Leader to join our Commercial Modifications, & Maintenance (CM & M) team in Long Beach, CA.  onsite.

The CM & M team is focused on bringing together flawless execution of the four modifications product lines (Avionics, Interiors, Connectivity, and Airframe, Performance & Systems (AP & S)), supply chain, engineering and in some cases MRO Execution that provide maximum lifecycle value and enable commercial airplane operators to meet the usage demands of its flight crews and passengers. In this role, the focus will be on ensuring Program Management best practices are executed to ensure success in the Product Lines. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage project and program managers for FAA Interior Modifications Program.

  • Manages employees performing business management activities in the area of Program Management.

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Establishes Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) program goals and establishes a PMBP improvement plan. Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 10 + years’ relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in contracts and proposals

  • Engineering degree (e.g. Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical)

  • Business and/or project degrees & Certifications (e.g. PMP, MBA, SSGB)

  • Prior experience within commercial aviation modifications / retrofits

  • Prior experience with project management experience

  • Prior management experience
